Welcome to the Historic First Masonic District of Massachusetts

The First Masonic District is home to nine distinguished lodges — a brotherhood woven through centuries of tradition, leadership, and service. Several of our lodges stand among the oldest in the nation, and their history lives vibrantly within our walls. Nestled in the heart of downtown Boston, every lodge in our district meets inside one of the most iconic Masonic structures in the world: the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts at 186 Tremont Street, a cornerstone of our Craft since 1899.
